Ocado Solutions is responsible for our corporate international  partnerships, offering the proprietary Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) as a service to retailers around the world. OSP comprises access to Ocado’s physical automation, allowing highly efficient preparation of orders, together with the full end-to-end software applications required to operate a world class online grocery business, bringing the best possible operational economics, consumer experience and service to our partners. Since 2017 we have signed agreements to provide our unique e-commerce solution to a number of the world’s largest grocers, including Groupe Casino (France), Sobeys (Canada), ICA (Sweden), Kroger (USA), Coles (Australia), AEON (Japan), Alcampo (Spain), Lotte (South Korea) joining our UK partner Morrisons and the Ocado/M&S joint venture.

 

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to apply their skills and experience to a product at the cutting edge of B2B technology. 

 

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for transforming an exciting roadmap of powerful capabilities into benefits-led narratives that support our commercial and partner growth efforts. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Product, Solutions Management, Commercial and Partner Success to distill complex product families and propositions and articulate well-differentiated narratives. 

 

You will be a subject matter expert on the product families and propositions under your remit and will be able to clearly articulate and validate their market fit and differentiation. 

 

You will own, manage and evolve a library of assets and proof points, including commercial enablement packs, feature and product launch materials, case studies and testimonials, and lead go to market plans for new product launches.

 

You will (accountabilities)

  • Be a principal owner of, and subject matter expert for, up to 3 product families.
  • Build a solid grasp of the end-to-end capabilities of the Ocado Smart Platform, especially in relation to your portfolio of products and themes; the ability to ‘connect the dots’ and extol the benefits of our end-to-end proposition is key
  • Develop, maintain and grow a library of well-differentiated commercial enablement materials and messaging that represent the latest view on each proposition within your remit.
  • Collaborate closely with the relevant VPs of Product, Product Directors and Product Managers to grow awareness and support for the OSP roadmap, helping excite, motivate and prepare our partners for upcoming product releases and launches, developing engaging product launch materials and comms.
  • Collaborate closely with the New Business team to support prospect identification and build and deliver prospect nurture campaigns to progress the new business pipeline. 
  • Cross-functional working: Develop strong relationships and collaborate closely with stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring regular communication across the business.
  • Partner marketing campaigns: Lead, drive and support partner reference programmes, building success stories and case studies and leveraging these materials to drive new business

About you (experience we seek)

  • At least 7 years of experience in Product Marketing or another relevant technology marketing/ communications/product discipline
  • A talented storyteller with the ability to distill complex products and concepts and create clear, simple, and impactful product stories for a wide range of stakeholders; excellent writing and more than a slight obsession with language is key
  • Commercially savvy with high numerical literacy and ability to ‘speak’ P&L
  • Driven self-starter with a laser focus on results
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-moving, dynamic and rapidly changing environments
  • Confident, self-motivated individual with demonstrable bias for action
  • A strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • Strong team player with a passion for knowledge sharing 
  • Highly adaptable individual who feels comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
