Product Developer – Seamless - 6 Month FTC

THE ROLE.

We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Product Developer – Seamless to manage the end‑to‑end development of our Seamless products across both men’s and women’s ranges. This role sits at the heart of our product creation process, ensuring every style is delivered on time, to spec, and to Gymshark’s exacting standards of performance, quality, sustainability, and compliance.

You’ll own the development critical path, partner closely with cross‑functional teams, and act as the technical authority for your products — ensuring each one meets our aesthetic vision, construction requirements, performance expectations, and regulatory obligations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING.

Product Development Leadership
  • Lead and manage the full Seamless product development process from concept to final sign‑off.
  • Own and maintain the product development critical path, ensuring all milestones are met and proactively managing risks or delays.
  • Act as the technical owner for all aspects of product construction, fit, and overall make-up.
Technical Excellence
  • Work closely with Design, Fit, Colour, Raw Materials, and Quality to ensure each product meets technical and aesthetic requirements.
  • Guarantee fit accuracy and consistency across all Seamless products.
  • Ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality and align with Gymshark’s brand standards.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate across all technical and development partners; resolve issues quickly to keep the process running smoothly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical queries on your products.
Compliance, Sustainability & Performance
  • Ensure all products meet relevant safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Verify that each product meets its performance and sustainability claims through testing and documentation.
Supplier Partnership
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure technical specifications, quality expectations, and timelines are met.
  • Identify and resolve development challenges promptly to avoid delays.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Own the accuracy of all technical documentation — including tech packs, sealed samples, testing results, and development records.
  • Provide clear, regular updates on development status, risks, and key decisions to your manager and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and technical development, specifically across Seamless products and technology.
  • Proven experience managing product development critical paths and delivering products on time.
  • Solid technical understanding of related development processes such as colour, raw materials, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices, compliance standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Design, Sourcing, Production, Quality, and other cross‑functional partners.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to provide accurate status reporting.
  • Proficiency with product development tools and systems (e.g., PLM, Excel, CAD).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with global vendors and suppliers.
  • Understanding of seamless manufacturing capabilities and constraints.
