Digital Product Director - 12-month FTC
Join us as our Digital Product Director, as a 12m FTC maternity cover, reporting directly to our Chief Digital Officer, to play your part in the continued global expansion of a billion-dollar success story in fitness retail.
This opportunity will be a great fit if you have proven track record in a sector such as apparel, footwear, beauty or wider FMCG. You will get to deliver on the vision and roadmap for digital products at Gymshark – taking responsibility for evolving our digital customer experience across our ecommerce website and app, and our training app.
The hybrid working pattern features a minimum three days a week at our global HQ in Solihull, UK.

YOUR ROLE
Your ability to turn the vision into delivery of our digital roadmap will be critical to the next phase of our online growth. The role involves overseeing and improving digital customer journeys, feature prioritisation, product ownership, CRO and ecommerce. Through a deep understanding of customer needs and wants and a focus on value realisation, the digital roadmap will be expertly prioritised to ensure cross-functional teams are focused on unlocking the most impactful features at speed. And our ecommerce team have the tools and capability they need to create the most compelling customer journey’s to drive commercial results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the strategic direction and execute plans with excellence, to maximise consumer value exchange across our digital platforms.
- Ensure the overall vision for our digital products is continually informed by market trends and competitor analysis.
- Own the digital product roadmap, prioritising feature developments for maximum impact.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
- Drive conversion rate optimisation through testing and data analytics.
- Evolve our digital products to enable personalisation and enhance customer loyalty.
- Continually review and optimise our digital tech stack to remain competitive.
- Oversee the visual merchandising strategy, ensuring the presentation and placement of the right products to the right customers at the right time in their journey.
- Lead weekly eCommerce performance reviews, highlighting what’s working, what’s not, and optimising merchandising and customer journeys in support of key site launches and trading events.
- Maximise the use of onsite content capability to deliver an engaging and effective end to end experience.

YOUR PROFILE
As a creative thinker, you will bring a customer-focus and data-informed approach, whilst being able to operationalise resources, through hands-on leadership.
We are looking for:
- Experience in app-based businesses and a demonstrated understanding of retail dynamics – you are likely to come from a Fashion or FMCG background.
- Experience as a transformational leader fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- A track record in scaling businesses or transforming traditional siloed operations.
- A collaborative and transparent approach that incorporates input from various stakeholders.
- The ability to translate business needs across different departments and speak the language of both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to conceptualise and articulate strategies, as well as execute them.
- A commercially driven mindset, with a focus on delivering tangible results.
- Strong strategic acumen with the capability to build and implement strategies from scratch.
- The ability to thrive in a non-hierarchical environment - to drive collective progress and facilitate business scalability.
