Sourcing Manager

OVERVIEW:

The Sourcing Manager role is an ideal opportunity be the central point of contact for Gymshark sourcing, leading initiatives and projects and work with cross functional partners within Gymshark’s headquarters and suppliers.

The position will be a good fit for your talents if you are adept in controlling costing, managing, and delivering margin targets as well as enjoy leading and coaching a team.  

In this role, you'll focus on continuously improving service, cost, and quality while reporting on key departmental KPIs. You will collaborate closely with our cost accountant on cash forecasting to ensure accurate spend reporting, and prepare the monthly faulty stock and claim report, including fabric and trim liability.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

As the Sourcing Manager, you’ll lead negotiations on program pricing, margins and delivery, using your attention to detail to effectively manage the development critical path. You'll prepare insightful reports for weekly meetings to ensure seamless operations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in meeting expectations around capability, capacity, quality, and performance, making a real impact on the success of the team. Key tasks include:

  • Aligning with the technical team on key sample management dates and reviewing raw material commitments, ensuring NOOS on key materials.
  • Leading interdepartmental communication as the operations lead within your category.
  • Managing vendor contracts and supplier Scorecards, collaborating with vendors on improvement plans.
  • Executing and implementing Sourcing SOPs across the team.
  • Working closely with materials to develop a raw material matrix (good, better, best).
  • Overseeing and managing projects within deadlines, ensuring alignment with department strategic goals.
  • Creating and overseeing a robust rebuy process and hold monthly supplier meetings to discuss key updates.
  • Onboarding new vendors in line with ethical and sustainability requirements while building innovation partnerships with mills, garment, and accessory manufacturers.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

It is important that you have clothing/garment sourcing experience and have managed a team before. Working for a global brand is particularly useful.
We are also looking for:

  • A comprehensive understanding of component pricing.
  • Proficiency in conveying insights through data-driven storytelling.
  • An understanding of garment manufacturing and production management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on finding solutions.
  • Proficient with Excel and PLM or similar data management systems.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
