If you are a business-first legal leader who wants to sit at the table - not on the sidelines. What will you do?

• Own commercial contracts end-to-end – Review and negotiate customer and vendor agreements with fast turnaround and practical, business-focused guidance
• Lead corporate governance and compliance – Oversee governance matters, employment law issues, and ensure ongoing compliance with corporate requirements
• Drive risk management and regulatory strategy – Monitor global regulations (privacy, AI, IP), assess impact, and operationalize compliance across the organization
• Build modern legal infrastructure – Establish scalable legal processes, tools, and systems from scratch, leveraging technology to increase efficiency
• Manage external counsel and litigation – Oversee outside firms, manage legal budgets, handle disputes, and strategically bring work in-house when possible
• Enable the organization legally – Develop and deliver internal legal training, improving awareness and empowering teams to operate confidently

What will you need to have?

• 8+ years of legal experience – Including at least 5 years in-house, preferably in SaaS or high-growth tech environments
• Deep SaaS legal expertise – Strong experience with subscription models, commercial agreements, privacy, and SaaS-specific regulatory matters
• Broad legal foundation – Solid knowledge across corporate governance, employment law, IP, privacy, and risk management
• Strong commercial judgment – Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements while balancing risk and business objectives
• Executive presence and startup mindset – Ability to operate independently, build authority in ambiguity, and establish legal infrastructure from the ground up

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience integrating technology or AI into legal operations
• Significant background in intellectual property law
• Global privacy and AI regulatory expertise. Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, international data transfers, AI-related regulations (including EU AI Act), and operational privacy programs (DPAs, data mapping, breach response)
