About the role:
GSR is seeking an accomplished VP of Transfer Pricing to be responsible for all transfer pricing matters for our fast-growing international business. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive transfer pricing strategy across Europe, Asia, and the US, fostering compliance, efficiency, and alignment in a rapidly evolving market.
As a valued member of our global tax team, you’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and external advisors to shape impactful financial outcomes and contribute to GSR’s continued success.
Expectations of the role:
- Shape Global Policy: Lead the development and evolution of transfer pricing strategies that drive alignment across our entities and business lines in Europe, Asia, and the US.
- Be a Key Advisor: Provide expert guidance on structuring intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with arm’s length principles for areas such as group costs, services, financial and trading transactions, and intellectual property.
- Expand Your Expertise: Collaborate on the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with OECD and local tax authority requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Solve Complex Challenges: Evaluate and refine transfer pricing methods to balance operational effectiveness and risk management across diverse business models and geographies.
- Drive Efficiency: Lead the standardization and automation of transfer pricing processes and procedures, contributing to operational excellence and scalability.
- Navigate Global Changes: Stay at the forefront of global tax and transfer pricing developments, helping the company adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Take Ownership in Critical Moments: Manage global transfer pricing audits, representing the group with confidence and precision.
- Ensure Robust Agreements: Oversee the implementation of intercompany agreements to reflect the terms of related-party transactions and safeguard compliance.
- Make an Impact: Calculate and advise on transfer pricing adjustments, ensuring seamless integration into the company’s financial and tax reporting frameworks.
Essential Qualifications/Attributes:
- Qualified tax professional (ACA, CA, LLM, CTA, or similar).
- 10+ years of transfer pricing experience in the Big 4 accounting firms and/or in a financial services or fintech environment
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing policy, planning, compliance and audit defense.
- Experience with value chain analysis and identifying transfer pricing risks and opportunities
- Familiarity with IFRS principles and experience extracting information from ERP systems
- Ability to articulate complex transfer pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a comprehensible mannerStrong analytical and research capabilities with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and interacting with people in different time zones.
- Financial services and/or crypto industry experience (desirable)
