About the role:

As an OTC Derivatives Trader, you will be responsible for the day to day structuring, pricing and execution of client trades, as well as the associated position and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades across a broad spectrum of cryptocurrencies, including spot, derivatives and DeFi, additionally help manage the central risk book, engaging in proactive hedging.
  • Quickly and accurately price and quote vanilla options and more complex exotic options and structured products.
  • Ensure the accurate booking of all trades and provide day-to-day support to trading operations and finance as needed.
  • Work with the broader trading team and our research function to increase our holistic understanding of the marketplace to ensure we remain a leader across the competitive landscape.
  • Work with a variety of internal teams from Business Development, Trading Operations, Legal, and the management to support the delivery of projects.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of GSR’s service offerings and client base.
  • Communicate closely with other teams on varying workflow initiatives and trades.

Your Profile:

  • At least 3 years of options, derivatives or delta one trading experience at a bank, hedge fund or proprietary trading firm.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Experience writing code to process and analyze large sets of data.
  • Proficiency in software development and engineering principles. 
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Strong software development skills, particularly in lower level languages and Python.
    • Familiarity with the unique aspects of cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology.
