About the role:

As an Algorithmic DeFi Trader (“trader who codes”), you will be at the forefront of ideating, developing and maintaining the firm’s trading algorithms across a spectrum of decentralized exchanges and underlying blockchains. You will have the opportunity to lean on the firm’s world-class trading infrastructure, access to dozens of liquidity venues, and a strong internal DeFi team as you help build out the firm’s DeFi strategies across principal trading, liquidity provisioning and passive yield generation. You will have a strong risk management mindset, and the ability to understand and model novel risks that exist in the DeFi space.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cutting-edge automated trading algorithms specifically tailored to DeFi venues and blockchains, across a variety of strategies
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to improve trading strategies and risk management techniques. Through your research, you may discover a new pattern that can transform into trading signals. To assess the strength of the signals, you will run it through our backtesting environment and carefully analyze its performance.
• Collaborate closely with the firm's broader quantitative trading and research team to create solutions for automated DeFi trading in the rapidly evolving crypto market.
• Keeping up to date with developments within DeFi with a view to identifying short term opportunities and informing our long term strategy.

Your Profile:

• A Phd or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field.
• Prior experience with DeFi focused trading strategies, either professionally or on a personal basis
• Familiarity with DEXs, protocol mechanics, blockchain fundamentals and smart contract security
• Excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills.
• Experience writing code to process and analyze large sets of data
• Proficiency in software development and engineering principles. 
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong software development skills, particularly in lower level languages and Python.
• Familiarity with the unique aspects of cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology.
