Groupon's INTL organic social has no single strategic owner today, and our headline KPI of Total Views sits below target across UK, ES, FR, and DE. This role owns INTL organic strategy end-to-end and runs the AI-native production pipeline that closes the gap without adding the headcount the old model would have required.

Who you'll work with

You'll report to Eduard Martínez Arcediano, Brand Marketing Director, based in Madrid. You share a Specialist resource with Brandi Alexander, your peer Social Media Manager for NA, and partner closely with Rocío Álvarez, the new Creative Director in Madrid, on creative quality and campaign integration. The role leads through influence, not authority. You'll negotiate capacity with the NA Manager rather than escalate, and you'll be building the partnership with the Creative Director from scratch. Two of your three closest working relationships are new, and there isn't an established playbook for either. Candidates who need direct reports or a settled tooling stack to feel safe will find this hard.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning the organic social strategy across UK, ES, FR, and DE: channel mix, content pillars, posting cadence, and platform-specific approaches that close the Total Views gap without softening Engagement Rate
  • Producing flagship content yourself using generative tools (Kling, Higgsfield, Veo, Sora, Runway, Midjourney, Flux, ElevenLabs, and whatever ships next): in the tools daily, not just briefing them
  • Building and running the AI-native production pipeline that lets the team ship enough volume to compete on Views without adding headcount beyond the shared Specialist
  • Prototyping new formats and turning the ones that work into a repeatable production line the wider team can scale
  • Operating as one connected function with the NA Social Media Manager and the Creative Director: shared tooling, shared creative standards, no duplicated effort
  • Running a monthly readout that translates Views, Engagement Rate, and audience signals into clear "do more, do less, kill" calls

What success looks like

Day 30: You've audited INTL organic across all four markets, mapped the AI tooling stack, met every key partner (Brandi, Rocío, regional leads, PR, performance marketing), and delivered a written audit with three to five observations and a point of view on the biggest opportunities.

Day 60: Eduard has approved the next two quarters of strategy you proposed (channels, content pillars, AI-native production approach). You've shipped one visible AI-driven content experiment end-to-end and shared the learnings. The peer cadence with Brandi and the creative review with Rocío are running.

Day 90: The AI-native production pipeline is live and shipping more content per week than the old model could. Monthly readouts include "do more, do less, kill" calls against both Total Views and Engagement Rate. The first quarterly plan is in motion. Eduard doesn't have to chase status; you surface what's working and what needs to be killed before he asks.

What this role demands

You can demonstrably:

  • Ship social content built with generative AI end-to-end, across AI video (Kling, Higgsfield, Veo, Sora, Runway), AI imagery (Midjourney, Flux), AI audio (ElevenLabs), or hybrid workflows, and show the actual work in a portfolio we can review
  • Own a brand channel strategically across multiple European markets, not just execute against someone else's plan
  • Lead a peer and a creative partner through influence when you have no authority over either, and keep the partnership from collapsing into duplicated effort
  • Read a content performance report and decide what to do next, holding the line on Engagement Rate when Views volume is tempting you to chase
  • Take an ambiguous brief and come back with a plan rather than more questions

  • Simplify to Scale: You build the AI-native pipeline that lets two people produce the volume that used to need five. You design for the next platform shift, not just the current one.
  • Impact Obsessed: You measure success in Views and Engagement Rate, not posting cadence. If a format isn't moving one of them, you kill it.
