NetSuite Team Lead (Functional ERP Support & Coordination)

About the Role
We are seeking a NetSuite Team Lead to manage and strengthen our ERP support capability. This is a player-coach role: you’ll be expected to handle hands-on second-line functional support while coordinating and empowering a small team (up to 5 people). This role is not managerial in the traditional sense but does require leadership of processes, backlog coordination, and continuous improvement efforts.
You will steer the Jira ticket intake, structure issue triage, proactively drive ERP process improvement initiatives, and act as a functional escalation point for the team. You will also maintain stakeholder alignment across Accounting, Procurement, and external partners.
What You’ll Do
Team & Work Coordination
- Lead and coach a team of ERP support analysts (up to 5 members)
- Own Jira intake process: ensure tickets are triaged, prioritized, and executed with clear accountability
- Track workload distribution and provide transparency to leadership on support performance
- Support onboarding and knowledge ramp-up of new team members
- Encourage a culture of documentation and proactive user support
Functional ERP Support
- Provide second-line support for complex NetSuite issues escalated from the team
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and configuration problems (searches, roles, workflows, etc.)
- Act as escalation point for high-priority support needs during month-end/quarter-end
- Support training material development and documentation practices across the team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to identify root causes and process improvement opportunities
- Coordinate testing and change management efforts with external NetSuite vendors
- Help ensure alignment with broader transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, harmonization, ERP simplification)
Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement enhancements to system usability, support workflows, and reporting
- Support Jira analytics and metrics review to identify pain points or bottlenecks
- Monitor user feedback, drive issue closure, and improve ERP adoption across teams
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or related field
- 4-5+ years of experience working with NetSuite in a functional or systems support role
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team or project workstream, ideally within an ERP or Finance Operations context
- Experience supporting key finance cycles: P2P, O2C, R2R, month-end close, reconciliations
- Strong hands-on NetSuite skills (searches, reports, workflows, roles, permissions)
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and ticketing workflows
- Strong coordination and communication skills, especially across time zones
- Proficiency in English and experience working in multinational settings
- Flexibility to occasionally align with U.S. working hours
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Coupa, Alteryx, Anaplan, or Salesforce
- Familiarity with SnapLogic or integration monitoring (at a functional level)
- Experience with audit support, SOX documentation, or ITGC (Information Technology General Controls) reporting

- The Jira queue is structured, monitored, and managed with full visibility and discipline
- Team members are effectively onboarded, coached, and clear on priorities
- NetSuite support performance improves in speed, clarity, and resolution quality
- Finance end-users feel empowered, supported, and engaged with the ERP platform
- ERP change requests are structured, well-documented, and fit into broader transformation goals
Leadership has a clear view of support workloads, risks, and opportunities for optimization
