Software Development Engineer III, Salesforce
Groupon is a marketplace where customers discover new experiences and services everyday and local businesses thrive. To date we have worked with over a million merchant partners worldwide, connecting over 16 million customers with deals across various categories. In a world often dominated by e-commerce giants, we stand out as one of the few platforms uniquely committed to helping local businesses succeed on a performance basis.
Groupon is on a radical journey to transform our business with relentless pursuit of results. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. The impact here can be immediate due to our scale and the speed of our transformation. We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact.

GSO Engineering is the Engineering arm of Groupon's Global Services Organization that encompasses Customer Support, Merchant Operations and Sales Integration among others. Things we work on range from tools that help our Customer Service Agents at our Shared Service Centers across the world to the Self Service resolutions on the Groupon website and our vision is to build the next generation Marketplace Ecosystem that will enable our customers and merchants to interact and facilitate faster resolutions.
This team relies heavily on the Micro Services architecture and interfaces with most of the services and functions across the breadth of Groupon Tech Stack. Developing software at Groupon is challenging, fun and rewarding. And no place embodies this more than the GSO Engineering Team.
The GSO Engineering Team is looking for a software engineer to join our team to innovate and evolve the design, implementation, and operational support of our sales, Customer Support and Merchant applications as well as integrations with other engineering departments. You will work closely with Product, Business and Operations teams. You will be responsible for scoping, architectural design, interfacing with other technology teams and managing the iterative rollout of features. All the systems we build / manage are mission critical. This means quality and reliability are paramount and large scale launches have to be threaded carefully without impacting day-2-day business.

Obsessed with quality: Your production code is clean, tested, and 'just works'
Team players: You believe that more can be achieved together. You listen to feedback and also provide supportive feedback to help others grow/improve.
Fast learners: We are willing to disrupt our existing business to trial new products and solutions. You love learning how to use new technologies and then rapidly apply them to new problems.

Beware of Recruitment Fraud: Groupon follows a merit-based recruitment process without charging job seekers any fees. We've noticed an increase in recruitment fraud, including fake job postings and fraudulent interviews and job offers aimed at stealing personal information or money. Be cautious of individuals falsely representing Groupon's Talent Acquisition team with fake job offers. If you encounter any suspicious job offers or interview calls demanding money, recognize these as scams. Groupon is not responsible for losses from such dealings.
