About the Team

The Offshore HR team is a centralised hub supporting our global portfolio, delivering services ranging from payroll and administration to learning and development. We're characterised by dynamic problem-solving, operational efficiency, initiative, curiosity, and building strong relationships across the business.

Role Overview

The Offshore HR Operations Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HR operations across the offshore entity, with full ownership of payroll, benefits, HR systems, and operational infrastructure.

This role ensures all HR processes are executed with accuracy, control, and efficiency, while meeting local regulatory requirements. It acts as the central point of ownership for HR operations, responsible for designing and maintaining scalable processes, strong controls, and high-quality data.

The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, with the Offshore HR Manager acting as the primary escalation point and strategic partner on complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters.

Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits (End-to-End Ownership)

  • Own and deliver the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations
  • Manage benefits administration, including vendor relationships, renewals, and employee lifecycle changes
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audit requirements
  • Maintain robust controls, documentation, and audit trails across all payroll and benefits activity
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll and benefits queries

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Own all HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) ensuring there are guides/workflows in place for all part of the JML process
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of employment documentation (contracts, amendments, compensation changes, transfers)
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure data accuracy and a consistent onboarding experience
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including alignment with Payroll and IT. Including background checks and ID checks
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready employee records
  • Maintain accurate digital employee files for all workforces and policies relevant to local data retention policies are in force and reviewed annually

HR Systems (Workday)

  • Own and govern Workday, including data integrity, workflows, configuration, and access controls
  • Act as the offshore subject matter expert for HR systems and processes
  • Drive system improvements, automation, and process optimisation
  • Partner with global HRIS and technology teams on updates, releases, and integrations

Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Own HR data governance and ensure ongoing accuracy and integrity
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting for HR, Finance, and senior stakeholders
  • Support audit activity and ensure full audit readiness across HR operations
  • Ensure compliance with local employment, payroll, and regulatory requirements

Immigration & Permits

  • Own all immigration and work permit processes, including applications, renewals, and tracking
  • Ensure full compliance with local immigration laws and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and proactively manage expiry timelines
  • Liaise with external advisors where required, with a focus on building internal capability over time

Operational Excellence & Process Design

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve HR operational processes and infrastructure
  • Drive standardisation, efficiency, and automation across HR Operations
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs and service levels
  • Maintain clear process documentation and ensure consistency of execution
  • Partner with the Offshore HR Manager on process improvements and broader HR initiatives

Decision-Making & Governance

  • Accountable for the execution and integrity of all HR Operations processes
  • Ownership of HR systems governance (Workday), including configuration and access
  • Authority to design and implement operational processes and controls
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance across payroll, benefits, data, and employment practices
  • The Offshore HR Manager is the primary escalation point for complex employee matters, policy interpretation, regulatory risk, and exceptions to standard process.

What makes a great candidate?

Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with HR systems, ideally Workday
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in data management and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build and improve processes in a controlled environment
  • High attention to detail with a strong risk and controls mindset
  • Ability to operate independently while partnering effectively with stakeholders
  • 3 years + HR experience
  • CIPD Level 3+
