Why this role exists:

This role exists to make sure our products work reliably across Web, native Mobile, Backend, and integrations. You’ll own quality from feature understanding and test coverage to defect investigation and release support, helping teams ship with confidence.

What you’ll drive:

Test strategy & coverage

• Analyze requirements and product changes, identify gaps and risks, and define the right test coverage.

• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

• Validate functionality across UI, API, database, and integration layers.

• Assess regression and release risks and make quality visible before changes go live.

Investigation & debugging

• Investigate defects and localize issues across client, backend, data, integrations, and environments.

• Use browser DevTools, network debugging, proxy tools, API tools, logs, and databases to get to the root cause.

• Inspect HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses to troubleshoot Web and Mobile issues.

• Verify bug fixes and make sure changes don’t introduce new problems.

Web, Mobile & Backend QA

• Test Web applications across relevant user flows, integrations, and edge cases.

• Test native iOS and Android applications and investigate issues using platform-specific debugging tools.

• Test REST APIs and Backend functionality, including authentication, authorization, and API communication.

• Validate data using SQL queries and relational databases.

• Work with API tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.

Releases & cross-team collaboration

• Support software releases and contribute to release readiness decisions.

• Communicate testing progress, blockers, risks, and quality clearly to the team.

• Work with developers and other stakeholders to investigate issues and unblock delivery.

• Contribute to improving QA processes, documentation, and testing approaches.

QA Pool adaptability

• Quickly understand new products, technical areas, and testing contexts.

• Bring a generalist QA mindset and apply the right testing approach rather than relying on one fixed process.

• Work independently while knowing when to ask questions, challenge assumptions, or raise a risk.

What makes you a GR8 fit:

Must-have

• Solid hands-on experience in Software Testing / Manual QA and the ability to work independently.

• Strong experience testing Web applications and native iOS/Android applications.

• Strong hands-on experience with Backend and REST API testing.

• Good understanding of HTTP, client-server architecture, authentication, authorization, and API communication.

• Confident use of API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.

• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation.

• Strong debugging skills, including browser DevTools, network analysis, and traffic interception tools such as Charles Proxy, Proxyman, Fiddler, or similar.

• Ability to investigate issues across UI, API, database, and integration layers.

• Hands-on experience with Git and common development/release workflows, including branches, merges, pull requests, tags/releases, and basic conflict resolution.

• Experience supporting software releases and understanding of functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

• Ability to work with incomplete requirements, ask the right questions, identify risks, and build sufficient test coverage.

• Intermediate English or higher, with fluency in Ukrainian or Russian.

Nice-to-have

• Practical experience with Kafka or similar message brokers and the ability to read and analyze messages/events.

• Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven communication and microservices architecture.

• Experience with ADB/Logcat, Xcode Console, or other native Mobile debugging tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.

• Basic experience with test automation or scripting, and/or performance or load testing.

• Experience working with high-load or product-based environments.
