Why this role exists:

This role exists to own quality assurance for our Payments team, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure payment flows. You’ll design and execute tests, validate integrations, and work closely with developers and product managers to ship high-quality products that clients trust.

What you’ll drive:

Testing & validation

• Own functional, integration, and regression testing for web and client-server applications.
• Validate API integrations and end-to-end payment flows.
• Capture, prioritize, and track defects, participating in triage and resolution.

Automation & process improvement

• Contribute to test automation efforts and QA process enhancements.
• Optimize test coverage and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Collaboration & alignment

• Partner with developers, product managers, and external providers to unblock issues and ensure smooth releases.
• Share QA insights and knowledge to improve team practices.

Team enablement & mentorship

• Support onboarding, mentoring, and coaching of QA team members.
• Help elevate QA practices and testing culture across the team.

What makes you a GR8 fit:

Must-have

• 4+ years of hands-on QA experience with web and client-server applications.
• 1+ year experience with payment systems or payment integrations.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with test automation or strong willingness to grow in automation.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).

Nice-to-have

• Fluency in Ukrainian.
• Intermediate+ English level.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong prioritization, time management, and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience mentoring or coaching teammates.

Tech Stack

• API testing & documentation: Postman, Swagger
• Test management & tracking: Jira, Confluence, TestRail
• Monitoring & root cause analysis: Kibana, browser DevTools
• Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL, DBeaver
• Messaging/event-driven systems: Kafka (understanding/basic experience)
• Version control: Git
