Why this role exists:

This role exists to support Finance operations by improving financial processes through automation, data handling, and technical support. You’ll help Finance and Accounting teams work more efficiently by streamlining workflows, building automated solutions, and supporting users.

What you’ll drive:

Finance process analysis & optimization

• Analyze existing finance and accounting processes to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
• Map current-state processes and design optimized future-state workflows.

Automation & data solutions

• Develop and implement automation solutions using Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.
• Streamline data entry, reporting, reconciliation, and other repetitive finance tasks.
• Integrate multiple data sources into automated reports and dashboards.

Data querying & systems integration

• Use SQL (including Google BigQuery where applicable) to query, transform, and load financial data.
• Work with data from the ERP system and other sources.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure reliable data flow between systems and tools.

Support, training & documentation

• Act as the primary technical contact for Finance and Accounting teams.
• Provide hands-on support and training for non-technical users.
• Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides.

What makes you a GR8 fit:

Must-have

• Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
• Strong working knowledge of Google Apps Script for automating Google Workspace tasks.
• Solid experience with SQL for complex data querying and reporting.
• Understanding of accounting principles and finance processes (e.g. GL, AP/AR, month-end close).
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, with a patient and supportive approach.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
