Getnet Platforms is part of Santander Payment Solutions and brings together a set of key platforms within Santander’s global payments technology ecosystem. It includes software-as-a-service capabilities across the entire payments value chain, such as account-to-account processing, FX, SWIFT connectivity, fraud management and card processing infrastructure.
It enables financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and payment service providers (PSPs) to operate, scale and evolve their payment capabilities across multiple rails, markets and regulatory environments, without the need to rebuild their core systems.
Proven at scale, including within Santander itself, these platforms provide a modular foundation that complements Getnet’s global payment capabilities to support client growth through payments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Data Architect these wil be some of the key activities in your day-to-day role:
Lead the design of complex data architectures across multiple domains and high-impact initiatives.
Translate enterprise data principles and standards into scalable solution designs aligned with business and technical needs.
Ensure domain architecture aligns with enterprise data standards and normalization initiatives.
Contributes to the definition and evolution of data principles, modelling standards and architectural patterns.
Support canonical model definition and data harmonization across domains.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned with enterprise strategy.
Lead technical execution of data migration and modernization initiatives while improving scalability, performance and cost-efficiency.
Act as a technical reference for Data Architects and Data Engineers, leading architecture review sessions and providing constructive feedback.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are in search of a Data Architect to join our team in Madrid, with the following qualifications and background:
Professional Experience
7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering or related roles. (Required)
Proven experience leading complex data initiatives across multiple teams or domains. (Required)
Experience in regulated industries such as payments or financial services. (Preferred)
Experience designing and implementing automations to improve operational efficiency. (Preferred)
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience. (Required)
Languages
Professional working proficiency in English. (Required)
Hard Skills
Strong expertise in modern cloud data ecosystems and distributed processing frameworks. (Required)
Deep knowledge of data modelling and data integration patterns. (Required)
Experience designing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse or Lakehouse architecture. (Required)
Strong understanding of streaming platforms such as Kafka or equivalent, APIs and CDC mechanisms. (Required)
Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices. (Required)
Experience with AWS cloud data ecosystems. (Preferred)
Experience with Azure or GCP cloud data ecosystems. (Preferred)
Strong architectural leadership and technical judgment. (Required)
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and domains. (Required)
Ability to provide constructive technical feedback and guidance. (Required)
