We are the digital centre of government. We set, lead and deliver the vision for modern digital public services that millions of people across the UK rely on every day, from accessing essential information to completing life’s most important tasks. GDS is a part of the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology and we employ people all over the UK, with hubs in Manchester, London and Bristol.

We are strategic: ensuring that the use of digital in the public sector drives efficiency and productivity gains, and helping to accelerate economic growth.
We are collegiate: working in partnership with colleagues across and beyond the public sector - including over time with local councils, police forces and arm’s length bodies (ALBs) - who will continue to be home to the vast majority of digital, data and technology specialists.
