Introduction: As a Frontend Engineer (Node/React), you will play a critical role in shaping FlyFlat’s product experience, sitting at the intersection of elegant design and powerful functionality. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for luxury travelers.

Responsibilities:

Frontend Development & User Experience

• Design and develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• Build robust backend services using Node.js.
• Translate designs into pixel-perfect interfaces, ensuring a high level of UI/UX precision.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and user satisfaction.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving

• Work closely with design teams to bring concepts to life.
• Participate in technical planning and architectural decisions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required

• Strong expertise in Node.js and its ecosystem.
• Mastery of modern frontend technologies, with a preference for React.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong version control practices with Git.
• Proven ability to translate designs into functional, high-quality user interfaces.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Owner mentality—ability to take responsibility for your work from concept to completion.
• Passion for optimization and performance.

Preferred

• Fluent Arabic speaker
• Business-level English proficiency (ability to communicate effectively with international teams)
• Experience in the travel industry.
• Previous startup experience, particularly in high-growth environments.
• International travel experience—we’re building for travelers, after all!
• Passion for travel hacking and finding creative solutions.
