About the Role
What You’ll Help Build
In this role, you will help shape how Flipdish is recognised across the UK and Ireland by:
- Growing awareness of the Flipdish brand among hospitality operators, technology audiences, and the wider business community.
- Elevating the profile of Flipdish’s founders and leadership team in conversations around hospitality, entrepreneurship, and the future of restaurant technology.
- Securing media visibility and industry recognition that strengthens Flipdish’s credibility with prospective customers evaluating the platform.
- Helping tell the story of how technology and AI are transforming hospitality through the innovation happening across the Flipdish platform.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Narrative & Stewardship
- Help shape and evolve Flipdish’s brand narrative across the UK and Ireland, ensuring our mission, founder story, Irish heritage and AI-leading technologies are reflected consistently across external communications.
- Act as a guardian of the Flipdish brand, maintaining consistency across all campaigns, communications, and external touch points.
- Ensure brand guidelines are understood and adhered to by all stakeholders across the business.
PR & Brand Visibility
- Develop and deliver PR initiatives that increase awareness of Flipdish across hospitality, technology, fintech, AI and business media.
- Build strong relationships with journalists, industry publications, and media partners.
- Identify opportunities to secure coverage, commentary, and industry storytelling that strengthens Flipdish’s position in the market.
Founder & Leadership Profile
- Elevate the profile of Flipdish’s founders and leadership team through thought leadership, commentary, and speaking opportunities.
- Help position Flipdish leaders in conversations around hospitality, entrepreneurship, AI, and the future of restaurant technology.
Market Awareness & Commercial Support
- Drive brand awareness at both a national and regional level, supporting the commercial team in priority territories.
- Identify opportunities for regional media coverage, partnerships, and local brand activity that support commercial growth by consistently providing social proof to build credibility for prospects running their due diligence.
- Manage the process for entering industry awards so that Flipdish builds association as a leader in the industry.
Campaigns & Innovation Storytelling
- Support brand and PR activity around product launches, partnerships, appointments and company milestones.
- Help communicate Flipdish’s growing leadership of AI across its all-in-one hospitality platform, ensuring the company’s innovation story resonates with operators and industry stakeholders.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with supporting resources including graphic design, lifecycle marketing, freelance videography, and colleagues in digital acquisition and SEO/AEO.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 4-6 years experience in brand, PR, communications, or marketing roles.
- Experience working within technology, SaaS, AI, hospitality, fintech, or agency environments.
- Experience delivering PR campaigns, media outreach, or brand initiatives that drive awareness.
- Experience supporting thought leadership or leadership profiling is advantageous.
- Experience working within a high-growth startup or scale-up environment is a plus.
Skills & Mindset
- Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to translate company news, product innovation, and insights into compelling narratives.
- Ability to build relationships with journalists, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A clear understanding of brand consistency and brand governance across multiple channels.
- Commercially aware, proactive, and comfortable identifying opportunities to increase brand visibility and understand the impact that PR can have in impacting opportunity conversion.
- Collaborative and comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in hospitality, technology, and supporting independent businesses.
