About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Managed Marketing Lead to take full ownership of Flipdish’s Managed Marketing service.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines strong strategic judgement with deep execution experience. You will be responsible for the performance, profitability, and evolution of the service, while remaining close to the work and building scalable systems that allow the service to grow efficiently.

Initially, the focus will be on reviewing and improving the existing setup, standardising delivery, and automating onboarding and reporting to ensure the service can scale profitably. You will then have the exciting challenge of shaping and expanding Managed Marketing into a broader managed growth offering for Flipdish customers.

This role is well suited to someone who has managed multiple accounts independently, potentially in a freelance or agency environment, and who prefers leverage through automation, AI, tooling, and clear service design rather than building headcount.

Key Responsibilities

Service Ownership and Strategy

  • Take end-to-end ownership of Flipdish’s Managed Marketing service, including performance, customer outcomes, and commercial success
  • Review the current service, processes, and tooling to identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and results
  • Define a clear vision for the role of Managed Marketing within the wider Flipdish ecosystem

Paid Media and Channel Delivery

  • Own and oversee PPC performance across multiple customer accounts, primarily Google Ads
  • Ensure best-in-class account structure, optimisation, budget allocation, and performance monitoring
  • Evaluate current supporting channels such as Google Business Profile optimisation, Google Analytics and managed SMS
  • Propose, validate, and support the launch of service extensions, potentially including paid social, social media management, and photography services

Automation, Tooling and Reporting

  • Design and implement scalable onboarding workflows for new Managed Marketing customers
  • Transition customer reporting from manual processes to standardised, automated solutions
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Leverage scripts, APIs, and AI tools to manage accounts, reporting, and insights efficiently at scale

Commercial Ownership

  • Own the P&L for Managed Marketing, ensuring the service operates profitably and sustainably
  • Build forecasts and capacity models to support growth planning and decision-making
  • Partner with finance and leadership to track margins, costs, and service performance

Go-to-Market Enablement

  • Define clear ICP criteria and eligibility guidelines for Managed Marketing customers
  • Create and enforce guidance for commercial teams on which customers are suitable for managed advertising spend and which are not
  • Support sales and account teams with pricing logic, positioning, and expectation setting
  • Work with the wider marketing team to increase awareness and adoption of Managed Marketing services

Quality, Standards and Governance

  • Define delivery standards, success metrics, and reporting frameworks across the service
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all managed accounts
  • Act as the internal subject-matter expert on B2C managed acquisition and performance marketing

AI, Automation and Leverage

  • Apply AI and automation tools to improve performance, efficiency, and ROI across managed accounts
  • Use automation to reduce manual effort through scripts, APIs, and workflow optimisation
  • Apply AI-driven insights pragmatically to campaign optimisation, reporting, and service improvement
  • Exercise strong judgement on where automation adds value and where human oversight is required

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 7+ years experience in performance, growth, or digital marketing
  • Extensive hands-on PPC experience, particularly Google Ads and META, managing multiple accounts concurrently
  • Proven experience building scalable systems for campaign management and reporting
  • Experience designing automated reporting using Looker Studio, Canva, or comparable platforms
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience contributing to or owning forecasting, pricing, or profitability decisions
  • Experience working freelance or in an agency environment managing multiple clients is a strong advantage
  • Experience working with hospitality, restaurant, or takeaway businesses is highly desirable

  • Highly comfortable with systems, automation, and process design
  • Commercially minded and confident making ROI-driven decisions
  • Comfortable in rejecting poor-fit customers or unprofitable setups from sales
  • Pragmatic, independent, and comfortable operating with high autonomy
