The Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Finster AI, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the scalable infrastructure and services that power our microservices-based platform. You’ll have a direct impact on the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our back-end systems, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating closely with AI, data, and back-end teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Execution 

  • Manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including Istio for service mesh, Helm, and Tanka.
  • Maintain and Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure efficient, automated deployments.
  • Contribute to cloud and supporting infrastructure development and deployment (Terraform IaC).
  • Implement and maintain cloud network, storage, and security resources.
  • Develop our observability stack using DataDog.
  • Supporting application and infrastructure reliability efforts.

Leadership & Management 

  • Provide constructive feedback, conduct regular 1:1s, and create clear development paths for team members.
  • Handle team dynamics, resolve blockers, and ensure engineers are empowered to do their best work.
You may be a good fit if you; 
  • Have 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Have leadership & management experience.
  • Are proficient with Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and familiar with private cluster networking, service mesh (Istio), Tanka, and Helm.
  • Are skilled in CI/CD, using tools like GitHub Actions (preferred) for streamlined deployments.
  • Have experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and container orchestration.
  • Have previously built and maintained multi-tenant zero trust infrastructure.
  • Are confident with developing, monitoring, and debugging cloud networks.
  • Have experience and are comfortable with cloud infrastructure management on GCP

Who You Are 

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog.
  • Some experience with AWS would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Knowledge of best practices in cloud security, reliability, and performance.
  • A basic understanding of core software concepts (REST API) (Python or Go ideal).
  • Previous exposure to single-tenant systems.
