The Role
We are seeking a high-energy, motivated Senior Commercial Manager to join FT Live’s Fixed Income Events division. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of our global bond market events by developing new partnerships and growing our portfolio of influential clients.
This is an opportunity to shape the next phase of FT Live’s growth and make an impact on a market-leading events portfolio with a strong international reputation.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, pitch, and secure new sponsorship and commercial opportunities across the bond events portfolio.

Manage and expand relationships with existing clients including global investment banks, law firms, and asset managers.

Lead client meetings, prepare tailored proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements.

Work cross-functionally with content, marketing, and operations teams to deliver outstanding sponsor value.

Attend industry and FT Live events to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.

Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Required Skills and Experience
-
5+ years of B2B commercial experience in events, media, or sponsorship sales.

Demonstrable success exceeding revenue targets and managing complex deal cycles.

Strong consultative sales skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.

Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills.

Effective multitasker with strong prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
Desirable
-
An understanding of the capital markets and a willingness to deepen expertise in the bond market.

Experience with global teams or in matrixed organisations.

Background working with financial services clients (banks, credit managers, legal advisors).

Strategic thinker with tactical delivery capabilities.
