Advertising Project Management Executive - Branded Content
The Advertising Project Management team is responsible for supporting the commercial arm of the Financial Times and is intrinsic to the sales process, not only protecting revenue but key to securing future revenues.
We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese and English) Project Manager who will oversee commercial content campaigns within the Japanese and APAC market. This role requires building and maintaining high-value relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring excellent in delivery across campaign elements, including stakeholders management, content creation, design, and client servicing.
As a member of the Global Project Management team, you will work collaboratively across our international offices to deliver world-class campaigns, ensuring all projects align with FT's quality standards and client expectations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting at the pitch stage, checking the feasibility of projects, ensuring processes and procedures are in place to delver on time and budget, evolving campaigns where necessary and delivering a post-campaign analysis. Ensuring the client's needs are at the heart of this process is paramount.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Global Project Management team in Tokyo, London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder and Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, providing business-level communication in both Japanese and English.
- Campaign Delivery: Work with the Producer across all aspects of the campaign production, from CEO interview-style videos to luxury product campaigns and thought leadership branded content pieces.
- Process and Quality Control: Establish and follow effective processes to keep projects on time, within budget, and aligned with FT’s high standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Japan ad sales team, Asia Head of Content, editorial, marketing, design, and third-party providers to fulfil project briefs with innovative content solutions.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets and P&L, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete thorough project documentation, including scopes of work, timelines, contracts, and project updates.
- Individual Role: This role focuses on project management and stakeholder coordination without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Languages: Proficiency in both Japanese and English (business-level fluency in speaking, reading, listening and writing).
- Cross-functional Communication: Validated experience in content or digital coordination in client facing roles. Agency experiences would be an advantage.
- Project Management: Expertise in overseeing multifaceted campaigns, managing client expectations, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Problem-solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, ensuring smooth project flow.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to foresee and address potential challenges.
- Adaptability and Collaboration: Ability to work well under pressure, handling tight deadlines and evolving requirements while maintaining a collaborative approach.
- Financial Times: Develop a broad understanding of the FT’s products and channels
