Why this role matters

As a Junior Backend Engineer Intern supporting the Internal API Team (IAT), you will contribute to the development and improvement of internal services, primarily written in Go.

You will gain hands-on experience working with microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern backend technologies while contributing to real projects that enhance internal systems and processes.

What you'll actually do

Participate in the development process, supporting current Internal API Team projects across several microservices.
Refactor and improve existing services to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Assist in improving CI/CD processes and automation.
Collaborate with engineers on backend development, databases, and messaging systems.
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Who we’re looking for

Higher education (Bachelor’s degree) in progress or completed, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and networks.
GitHub profile with some accomplished projects is a plus.
Knowledge of Go or a strong willingness to learn Go.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Result-focused, responsible, and proactive.
Quick learner, open to new challenges, and able to work collaboratively.
Strong relationship-building skills.

Nice to have:

Basic experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or ClickHouse.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab CI.
Previous experience in microservices development or backend engineering projects.
