Why this role matters

As a QA Engineer Intern, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of both frontend and backend systems that handle real-time audio streaming, integrated voice services, core telephony routing, and automated interaction logic.

You will gain hands-on experience applying manual and automated testing practices within a microservice architecture specifically for telephony services. This role allows you to collaborate closely with developers and Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to deliver high-quality, reliable communication services that must perform flawlessly

What you'll actually do
  • Analyze requirements and clarify testing scope and expectations.
  • Execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory tests on new features.
  • Create and update test cases, test plans, checklists, and QA documentation.
  • Validate backend services using API testing tools such as Postman or Python libraries.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, reporting on testing progress and findings.
  • Support the QA team in maintaining high standards of software quality across products.

Who we’re looking for
  • Basic understanding of QA theory, including STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), testing levels (Unit, Integration, System), and methodologies (Black-box vs. White-box).
  • Fundamental programming knowledge in Python (loops, data structures, functions).
  • Foundational knowledge of HTML/CSS and browser architecture, with the ability to use DevTools to debug UI layouts, check API calls, and monitor browser storage (Cookies/LocalStorage)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to trace problems through logs and network layers.
  • Contextual awareness of business and technical goals (understanding why you are testing, not just how).
  • Attention to detail and technical curiosity.
  • Quick learner, ready to dive into specialized technologies like SIP and Asterisk/PBX.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks or tools.
  • Understanding of API testing, backend services, or network protocols.
  • Previous QA or software testing internship experience
