The Knowledge Graph Engineer will play a critical role in the design and optimization of Neo4j-based knowledge graphs, enabling advanced analysis of biochemical, medical, and ontological data. This position involves collaborating with data scientists to implement complex data requirements, developing scalable data integration pipelines across 60+ source datasets, and enhancing data retrieval with advanced graph algorithms. The Knowledge Graph Engineer will report directly to the Head of Engineering of Every Cure and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy. 

How you’ll make an impact -

• Design & Develop: Create and optimize Neo4j-based knowledge graphs for biochemical, medical, and ontological data. 
• Collaborate: Work with data scientists to understand and implement data requirements. 
• Integrate: Ensure data consistency and accuracy through a scalable and reproducible data integration pipeline based on 60+ source datasets. 
• Optimize: Enhance data retrieval and analysis with graph algorithms. 
• Maintain: Manage Neo4j configurations, indexes, and constraints. 

What you’ll bring to the team - 

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. 
• A focus on software engineering as a craft, consistently working to improve your skills in creating simple solutions for complex problems.
• 3+ years in software development with proficiency in general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java). 
• Experience working with knowledge graphs including graph languages like Cypher, and graph engines such as Neo4j. 
• Strong skills in data modeling and big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, BigQuery). 
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve, and communicate complex ideas effectively. 
• Prior experience working at a startup, small enterprise, or boutique consultancy is a plus. 
• Professional or academic experience specifically in biology, chemistry, drug discovery/repurposing space is also a plus.

• Your paycheck: Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £50,000 - £100,000 annually.
