Investment Intern – Life Sciences - Dementia Team - Amsterdam
EQT Life Sciences is seeking a curious and analytically minded Investment Intern to join our Amsterdam-based neuroscience investment team for a period of six months. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to neuroscience investing at one of Europe's most experienced specialist investors, gaining meaningful exposure across the full investment cycle.

About the Role
As an Investment Intern, you will work closely alongside our investment professionals in Amsterdam, contributing to real work across the full breadth of our activity, from identifying new opportunities to supporting due diligence and engaging with portfolio companies. This role is designed to give you meaningful, practical exposure to how life sciences investment decisions are made.
- Screen and assess new investment opportunities in dementia and neurodegeneration, spanning therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices and enabling technologies
- Contribute to scientific, clinical and commercial due diligence on prospective investments
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis and reviews of the scientific literature
- Help prepare investment materials and internal analyses to support the team's decision-making
- Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals on live transactions and portfolio work
- Gain direct exposure to portfolio companies operating at the frontier of neuroscience research
About You
You are intellectually curious, analytically grounded and genuinely excited about the intersection of science and investment. You communicate complex ideas clearly, take ownership of your work and contribute thoughtfully in a collaborative setting.
What you'll bring (must-have):
- A Master's degree in a life sciences discipline, such as neuroscience , medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biology or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience beyond your undergraduate studies, whether through professional work, a PhD programme or advanced postgraduate study
- Experience reading and critically appraising clinical or scientific literature
- A strong interest in scientific innovation and how novel discoveries translate into medicines or medical technologies
- Proven ability to synthesise complex scientific information and present it clearly, both in writing and in conversation
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- A proactive, collaborative working style with the ability to take ownership and manage your own workload
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with the life sciences investment landscape or prior exposure to a healthcare or biotech environment
- A background or demonstrable interest in neuroscience, neurology or neurodegenerative diseases
- Additional European language skills
