Data Engineer

About the Client Tech Value Stream team
The Client Tech Value Stream focuses on delivering technology and data solutions that support client, investor, and fund-related processes. The team works closely with engineering, product, CRM, and business stakeholders to build scalable platforms that enable insights and operational efficiency across EQT.
About the role
You will play a key role in designing, building, and operating EQT’s cloud-based data platform. You will work across ingestion, transformation, and data modeling to ensure high-quality, reliable, and accessible data.
- Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines across multiple data sources.
- Ingest data from APIs, external platforms, Fivetran connectors, and cloud storage.
- Develop and maintain data models using dbt on Snowflake.
- Structure data around core business entities such as clients, investors, funds, and transactions.
- Enable analytics and reporting in tools such as Power BI, Salesforce CRM Analytics, Tableau and our AI stack.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, CRM, and business teams.
- Contribute to platform improvements and modernization of legacy pipelines.
- Support infrastructure and access management using GitHub, Terraform, and Snowflake.
About you
You are an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys working across the full data stack and collaborating with diverse teams. You are comfortable working in a modern cloud environment and translating business needs into scalable data solutions. You are curious about AI and new technology, and can translate both human and machine needs into code.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience building data pipelines and working with cloud data platforms.
- Experience collaborating with nontechnical stakeholders for requirements and maintenance.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for usage by reporting tools and LLM models.
- Experience with Snowflake and dbt or similar tools.
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems such as APIs and SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with version control and infrastructure tools such as Git and Terraform.
Nice to have:
- Experience with GCP and Fivetran.
- Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Understanding of financial or private markets data.
