Your Mission:
Join us in disrupting the international energy and environmental trading markets and leave your mark in redefining how energy traders work!
As Head of Multinational Corporations, you will develop and implement a strategy to elevate our international key account customers to the next level, focusing on multinational companies with international operations outside of the DACH region, primarily in the gas and power sectors. This also includes expanding our reach in the environmental sector (GOOs, REGOs, EUAs, PPAs) by engaging with corporates and industrials and developing new market strategies.
You will be a strong and independent leader, driving a significant portion of enmacc's business. Your team comprises dedicated customer-facing account managers who attract and grow our portfolio of energy and environmental trading customers across various European markets. You will inspire, develop, coach, manage, and guide your team to achieve ambitious revenue growth targets in this key segment. You will also provide recommendations to the Chief Revenue Officer on strategies to further develop and expand the MNC and Environmental markets.
What you’ll do:
You are a member of the enmacc Revenue Management team, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. You lead, develop, and grow the MNC & Environmental Account Management team, while also supporting the Italian and Liquidity team, which currently consists of approximately 7 full-time employees.
The team consists of different segments that you will be responsible for:
Directly:
1) International Account Managers taking care of the growth and development of our MNC accounts,
2) Environmental Account Managers who enable environmental commodities being traded on the platform
Indirectly
3) Liquidity Managers and their Head to make sure we increase liquidity on the platform and
4) Italian Account Managers making sure we serve the Italian market as well
Specifically, your role encompasses:
Managing & Leading the Team:
- Team development (building, scaling, and ensuring success) and overall management.
- Enablement, training, and development of team members, providing consistent 1:1 support to Account Managers.
- Technical support and performance responsibility for the MNC & Environmental team.
- Project management and oversight: This includes breaking down projects and requirements into actionable tasks for the team, translating leadership directives into clear guidance, and ensuring effective team operations.
- Adaptability and Prioritisation: This role requires a high degree of flexibility, with responsibilities ranging from strategic planning and analysis to detailed pipeline management and sales activity tracking.
Functional Responsibilities within the Region:
- Forecast, report, and achieve sales activities and revenue targets
- Forecast, report, and achieve customer retention and enablement activities, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Drive new market strategies, specifically for Italy and Environmental products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to facilitate growth and ensure process efficiency (e.g., marketing campaigns, billing/finance, etc.).
- Define KPIs and set targets for the team and individual team members.
- Provide strategic guidance and support in client negotiations, particularly at higher management levels, to enhance deal success and build strong client relationships.
Other Responsibilities:
- Active participation in the enmacc management team, contributing to responsibilities such as target setting, cultural initiatives, and feedback processes.
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience leading Account Management and B2B sales teams, ideally in a startup/tech/SaaS environment.
- Experience in professional trading environments is a plus.
- 8+ years of overall work experience.
- Strong experience in managing B2B customer relationships, particularly with multinational corporations.
- Empathetic personality with natural relationship and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to structure, manage, and guide a high-performing sales/account management team.
- Fluent in English.
- Robust technical skills (Excel, CRM, data analysis).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to switch quickly between high-level strategic thinking and operational execution.
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to navigate change management and drive adoption of new approaches with established organisations.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
