Your Mission:

Join us in disrupting the international energy trading market and leave your mark in re-defining how energy traders work! 

We are looking for ambitious data scientists that would like to seize the opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of intelligence at enmacc, building high-impact products powered by machine learning. You will report directly to the Head of Platform, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to identify opportunities for introducing intelligence into the energy trading marketplace. Your focus will be on improving upon existing implementations of machine learning, identifying opportunities for ML and GenAI, and leading data science initiatives to foster both individual and team growth within engineering.

 

Your Responsibilities / What you’ll do:

  • Take a leading role in driving cutting-edge machine learning initiatives at enmacc, setting the direction for how advanced AI technologies, like LLMs and Generative AI, shape the future of energy trading and beyond.
  • End to end ownership of data science products, spanning the entire technical workflow and related project management responsibilities - you get a high level of autonomy and the responsibility which comes with it
  • Develop Model as a Service infrastructures that host and manage pre-trained models for common tasks by identifying common use cases for ML that can be used “Out of the Box” by engineers
  • Enable the integration of Generative AI models, like those for natural language integration, which will allow development teams to integrate these capabilities without requiring extensive ML expertise.
  • Put the customer/user of your data science product at the centre of your product development - work closely with customers to deeply understand their needs and derive data science products that will deliver real value
  • Advocating Data Science fundamentals in the Development and Product Departments
  • Organize knowledge sharing to grow and win together as a team
  • Driving collaboration between Platform and Engineering teams

 

Your profile / What you’ll need:

  • Excellent academic background in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, economics, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and specialised ML libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Strong familiarity with Generative AI, including experience with different large language models, embeddings, vector databases and libraries like LangChain or Llamaindex for building and deploying GenAI systems
  • Solid understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of different ML algorithms (incl. Knowledge of deep learning models)
  • Experience working with relational/NoSQL databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB)
  • Experience working with Docker, AWS services (e.g. S3, Athena, Glue, Cloudformation, Bedrock)
  • Experience in deploying, maintaining and updating models in production, as well as tracking experiments
  • Experience working end-to-end (from ideation to deployment) to deliver production-ready data products
  • Experience working with business stakeholders
