About the role
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to own the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle at Enginy, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
This is a foundational, high-ownership role within a lean People team (Head of People, Talent Acquisition Partner and Office Manager). You will be responsible for making sure our People processes are accurate, compliant, reliable and scalable, so the company can grow with confidence.
The role exists to remove operational risk and friction from People processes, ensure full compliance with Spanish labor regulations, and provide a smooth, professional employee experience. You’ll work closely with our Gestoria and Finance team on payroll, own our HR systems (Factorial and Notion), manage benefits and act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on operational topics.
This is not a coordination role, it’s an ownership role:
- Employee Lifecycle Ownership
Ensure all people operations (onboarding, contract changes, leaves and offboarding) are executed accurately, on time and properly documented across systems. - Payroll, Compliance and Labour Relations
Manage monthly payroll inputs and checks in collaboration with the Gestoria and Finance team, while maintaining compliance with Spanish labor law. - People Policies & Best Practices
Develop, update and communicate People policies ensuring clarity, consistency and adoption across the organisation. Continuously improve processes to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency - Enhance our Employee Value Proposition
Manage our current Benefits offering and monitor opportunities which can be aligned with Enginy's culture as we scale - Scalable systems & operational foundations
Own and improve our People systems (Factorial) and knowledge base (Notion), ensuring clean data, clear documentation and processes that scale as Enginy grows. - Learning & Development Support
Support the coordination of training initiatives, with a focus on onboarding effectiveness and strengthening manager capabilities - People Budget & Planning
Support the planning and monitoring of the People budget (benefits, tools, and initiatives), ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with company priorities
About you
You’re a detail-oriented, hands-on People Operations professional who takes pride in things working properly behind the scenes. You enjoy ownership, reliability, and building processes that others can trust.
You’re comfortable operating independently, making judgment calls, and proactively fixing gaps before they become problems. You care deeply about accuracy, compliance, and creating a smooth employee experience, without overcomplicating things.
- Strong People Operations experience
Hands-on experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, changes, leaves, and off-boarding in a scaling company. - Spanish labor law & payroll knowledge
Solid understanding of Spanish labor regulations and experience working with a Gestoria on payroll and compliance, ideally in a company with 50+ employees. - Systems, process & data mindset
Experience owning an HRIS (Factorial or similar) and maintaining documentation in tools like Notion. You care about clean data, clear processes and scalability. - Operational ownership & reliability
You’re known for getting things right, following through and being someone others trust with sensitive and high-impact operational work. - Service mindset with professional boundaries
Approachable and helpful with employees, while maintaining confidentiality, consistency and clear boundaries in sensitive situations.
