The Role

As our teams at Lucanet continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) with a strong background in AWS and Terraform to join our Platform Team. This team plays a pivotal role in building the underlying infrastructure that supports our products and drives the transformation of our platform into a cutting-edge, cloud-native SaaS solution.

The Platform Team is at the heart of our operations, working closely with backend developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure. This role will
take ownership of key DevOps activities, focusing on optimising our AWS infrastructure, streamlining CI/CD processes with GitHub Actions, and enhancing our deployment scripts.

What you'll do

Build and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring adherence to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
Develop and streamline GitHub Actions workflows to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Create and manage deployment scripts and processes to improve efficiency across the platform team.
Work closely with Java developers, QA Engineers, and operations teams to integrate and optimise workflows.
Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain platform reliability and performance.

What you bring to the table

Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
Proficiency in managing cloud-native platforms with a focus on scalability and reliability
Hands-on experience writing and maintaining Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation
Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools
Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages
Ability to automate deployment workflows and infrastructure tasks
