We are expanding our team with an Infrastructure Analyst. Someone who combines analytical rigor with deep blockchain curiosity, thrives on strategic thinking, and knows how to translate complex technical capabilities into meaningful progress for protocols building the future of decentralized infrastructure.

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Analyst at Eiger, you'll bridge technical complexity and strategic opportunity. Your mission is to identify where blockchain infrastructure is evolving, analyze which protocols and foundations would benefit from world-class engineering support, and help advance the technical foundations that will define the next era of crypto.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong analytical foundation, from finance, consulting, investment banking, or VC, who's intellectually curious about how blockchain technology actually works and eager to apply strategic thinking to this transformative space.

You don't need to be a developer, but you should be fascinated by the technical challenges protocols face and motivated to become a trusted advisor to foundation executives and technical leads. You're the one who can articulate why decentralized infrastructure matters and help protocol teams understand how the right engineering support can accelerate their roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Research & Market Analysis

• Conduct deep-dive research into blockchain ecosystems, protocol development, and infrastructure trends.
• Analyze funding rounds, technical roadmaps, and ecosystem developments to identify where engineering support can have the highest impact.
• Map the competitive landscape and understand where different protocols are heading technically and strategically.
• Surface insights about where the infrastructure space is going and which technical challenges matter most.

Client Engagement & Revenue Generation

• Identify and qualify opportunities where Eiger's capabilities align with protocol needs at protocol foundations, L1/L2 projects, and well-funded networks.
• Build credibility through understanding their technical challenges and articulating how engineering support can solve them.
• Navigate technical sales cycles and foundation decision-making processes with patience and strategic thinking.
• Drive deal development from initial conversation through to close, collaborating with senior BD and engineering teams.
• Manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet revenue targets.

Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Contribution

• Contribute to content that demonstrates technical depth and strategic thinking about blockchain infrastructure (blog posts, Twitter threads, technical analysis).
• Participate in industry discussions, technical roundtables, and ecosystem conversations where strategic decisions are made.
• Build a reputation as someone who understands the technical and strategic landscape of blockchain infrastructure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering teams to deeply understand technical capabilities and how they solve real infrastructure challenges.
• Collaborate with senior BD on deal strategy, proposal development, and closing tactics.
• Support pricing discussions and contract negotiations with analytical insights and competitive intelligence.

Requirements

Must have

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical background: Experience in finance, consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, or strategic analysis roles.
• Demonstrated blockchain interest: Active on Twitter/LinkedIn sharing crypto/blockchain insights, writing analysis, or engaging in technical/strategic discussions.
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals: L1s, L2s, consensus mechanisms, infrastructure challenges, protocol economics.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to explain complex technical and strategic concepts clearly to different audiences.
• Research and analytical mindset: comfortable diving deep into technical documentation, whitepapers, and ecosystem analysis.
• Intellectually curious and eager to master complex domains.
• Consultative approach: you lead with insights and build trust through expertise.

Nice to have

• Sales experience: Experience in consultative B2B sales or complex technical sales cycles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Background working with protocol foundations, understanding decentralized governance and decision-making.
• Experience in crypto VC, blockchain research, or crypto-focused consulting/advisory.
• MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, computer science, or related field.
• Track record of writing thought leadership content on blockchain/crypto topics (blog, newsletter, Twitter analysis).
• Network in the blockchain ecosystem, particularly among protocol teams, foundations, or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of protocol economics, tokenomics, stablecoins, or infrastructure-focused use cases.

Salary & benefits:

Salary and benefits will be negotiated separately based on the candidate’s skills and experience. Please note that we hire our international talent residing outside of Finland with contractor status, this means that you'd be invoicing us every month and paying your own social security contributions.

In terms of paid time off, you would get sick days, paid national holidays of the country of residence and 5 weeks of paid vacation per year (2.0833 accumulated vacation days per month worked).
