As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you’ll directly shape Ebury’s core data infrastructure, transforming raw data into a reliable, scalable asset for teams worldwide.

You will architect robust, open-source-friendly frameworks and establish data governance that directly fuels our strategic global growth.

Success in this position empowers cross-functional teams to make faster, sharper decisions backed by accessible, high-quality data.

The team

You’ll join our Data Platform team in our Madrid office through a hybrid setup (4 days in-office, 1 day remote), where daily collaboration sits at the heart of daily operations.

The engineering culture champions open-source principles, transparent problem-solving, and ongoing skill development through supported training and certifications.

You're a good fit if...

• Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL drives your approach to data transformation and dimensional modeling.
• Direct experience includes building and scaling data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
• Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals, such as slowly changing dimensions or graph databases, shapes your architectural decisions.
• A naturally curious mindset fuels continuous learning within a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Clear communication in English complements a strong commitment to team collaboration (Spanish is a bonus).
