Product Manager - FX & Financial Operations

Ebury Málaga Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our team. As a Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in the product lifecycle, from ideation and research to execution and analysis. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional products that delight our users and achieve our business objectives. What you’ll do
- Operational Lifecycle Management: Assist in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, specifically focusing on the operational workflows of FX products, from trade execution to settlement.
- Market & Competitive Research: Conduct research on FX market trends, liquidity providers, and competitor financial products to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (including Treasury and Operations teams) to document functional specifications, user flows, and acceptance criteria for financial features.
- Data-Driven Discovery: Analyze user behavior and transaction data to inform decisions on product improvements and new feature prioritization.
- Product Documentation: Maintain high-quality documentation, including user stories and technical release notes specifically tailored for financial operational processes.
- Feedback Loop: Collect and analyze user feedback from internal operational teams and external clients to inform product iterations.
What you’ll need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Domain Knowledge: A foundational understanding of financial FX products, trade execution systems, and their related operational lifecycles.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in technology or financial services as Product Manager or Product Owner (relevant internships or academic projects are highly valued).
- Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data sets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical product requirements to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Awareness: Basic understanding of software development processes; familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Operational Mindset: A proactive, self-starting attitude with extreme attention to detail, essential for managing multi-stage financial workflows.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with product management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Product board.
- Prior experience or deep interest in the Financial/FX industry and market infrastructure.
