Financial Crime Quality Assurance Analyst - EEA

Financial Crime Compliance 

Ebury Madrid- Hybrid: 4 days a week office based working, 1 day working from home

 

Job Overview:

As part of the EEA Financial Crime Quality Assurance Team you will undertake Quality Assurance reviews across all risk categories and client types within the EEA, with a specific focus on High-Risk clients. Your role will involve ensuring that all client due diligence measures have been performed in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as Ebury’s internal policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for quality
assurance activities across transaction monitoring and screening, ensuring that alerts are reviewed, investigated and discounted appropriately, in line with Ebury’s policies and procedures.
In addition to this, you may be required to deliver training to the Onboarding, Screening, and Transaction Monitoring teams to address any recurring areas of weakness identified through your reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct periodic level 3 independent QA checks on new clients one month after onboarding. This includes performing detailed independent quality reviews of client files from an AML / Financial Crime
perspective.
● Perform QA on Reassessment client files by conducting detailed quality reviews of the reassessment team's KYC updates.
● Execute QA on Screening, which involves detailed reviews of the Screening team's decisions on discounting hits.
● Carry out QA on Transaction Monitoring by conducting detailed reviews of the transaction monitoring team's resolution of alerts, ensuring all risks have been mitigated or escalated as necessary.
● Undertake QA on SARs, which includes performing detailed quality reviews of internal and external SARs to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policy standards.
● Conduct in-depth investigations and thematic reviews.
● Manage and take ownership of the staff feedback process.
● Monitor and track remedial actions.
● Ensure that a sufficient number of files are reviewed to meet the team's monthly objectives and targets.
● Organise and lead calibration forums with the 1st line 4-Eyes team.
● As needed, communicate with teams to provide necessary training or address any instances of non-compliance with internal policies and procedures.
● Maintain positive and open communication channels with the financial crime teams.
● Request KYC refresh reviews on any files found to be non-compliant with regulatory requirements.
● Collaborate with the broader compliance team to contribute to the achievement of EEA compliance deliverables.
