Business Applications Manager (Finance Applications)
e2open | Part of the WiseTech Global Group
Chicago (Schaumburg) or North Carolina (Chapel Hill), United States | Hybrid
At e2open, we connect the world’s supply chains. As part of the WiseTech Global Group, we operate at truly global scale, supporting complex, high volume commerce across industries, regions, and time zones. Behind every transaction, every invoice, and every payment is a set of financial systems that must be accurate, resilient, and constantly evolving.
We’re now looking for a Business Applications Manager to take ownership of this mission-critical landscape and play a defining role in how our finance technology evolves as e2open continues its integration into the WiseTech Global Group.
The Role:
This role sits at the very heart of e2open’s business. Every step of our Order-to-Cash journey, from the moment a customer places an order through to billing, payment, and reconciliation, flows through the financial applications you will lead. NetSuite, Concur, FloQast and related platforms are not simply tools here; they are the backbone of how the company operates.
You will lead the IT Financial Applications team, acting as the primary technology partner to Accounting and Finance leaders across the business. Today, the team is deeply involved in integrating WiseTech Global processes into the e2open application stack. As those integrations mature, new opportunities and challenges continue to emerge. This role is central to shaping what comes next.
As Manager, you will be the chief designer and decision-maker for change in the financial applications space. You’ll guide architecture and configuration, steer the team through complex enhancements, and remain close enough to the detail to roll up your sleeves when needed. While your team is highly skilled at configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support, you will set direction and ensure every change supports both financial integrity and business growth.
You will also own key external relationships, managing vendors, influencing roadmaps, and ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities. Audit readiness and compliance sit firmly within your remit, from financial year audits to user access and change management controls. In short, this is a role with real accountability and real influence.
A truly global leadership opportunity:
This is a global role in every sense. You will work with direct reports, finance and business leaders, and vendors across multiple regions, often spanning time zones. Flexibility in working hours is essential but in return, you gain a role with exceptional reach, visibility, and impact across the organisation. Travel to our Chicago or North Carolina office will be part of staying connected to key stakeholders and peers.
Who we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone who brings together financial credibility and technology leadership. You likely have a background in accounting or finance (through hands-on experience, formal study, or both) and you understand how financial processes should work before they are ever configured in a system.
You have deep expertise in financial applications, particularly NetSuite, and a proven ability to design and implement changes in complex, live environments.
Just as important, you’re an experienced people leader who knows how to lead globally distributed teams, build trust remotely, and create clarity amid complexity.
You see yourself as a business partner, not just a system owner. You’re comfortable sitting with finance leaders, translating business needs into technical solutions, and challenging assumptions when needed. You’re also pragmatic, willing to dive into configuration or problem-solving when the situation calls for it.
Why join e2open?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where finance, technology, and global transformation intersect. You’ll shape systems that touch every transaction, influence how two major organisations align their financial operations, and leave a lasting mark on how e2open operates as part of the WiseTech Global Group.
If you’re motivated by scale, complexity, and the chance to build something that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you.
