POSITION OVERVIEW

The Logistics Analyst (LA) is a SME within the Logistics as a Service (LaaS) department for e2open. The role requires a good grasp of technology, software implementation methodology, and strong analytic skills. The LA maintains and updates either the Road or Rail application to effectively deliver maximum value for the customer. The LA designs processes, scopes business needs, recommends solutions, and deploys the decision on behalf of the customer.

 

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Create and maintain reports or dashboards from the application or with Qlik Sense
  • Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost or performance
  • Extract and manipulate data with advanced analytical techniques, such as Excel, Power Query, Microsoft Power Automate, etc.
  • Lead new customer integration setup; create and maintain accuracy of master data
  • Capture business objectives and develop technology-based solutions; leverage change management and project management methodologies to deploy these solutions on time
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance through 3rd party tools, enhancements to the appropriate application, change management, etc.
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders; create and deliver professional presentation materials
  • Participate in on-call rotation or holiday coverage plans as required by account assignment

  • Road Only
    • Configure and troubleshoot the TMS4S application to meet customer’s needs
    • Develop training materials for internal and external users
    • Support the supplier payment process; investigate and resolve the root cause of inaccuracies, delays or discrepancies in payments
    • Collaborate with peer group to build and implement best practices; consistently dedicate time toward new, innovative solutions
    • Develop relationships as a trusted advisor at all levels of the customer organization
  • Rail Only
    • Configure and troubleshoot the rail application to meet customer’s needs
    • Develop training materials for the rail application and deliver training as required
    • Support the rail carrier payment process; investigate and resolve the root cause of inaccuracies, delays or discrepancies in payments
    • Develop relationships as a trusted advisor in the customer and rail carrier organizations

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of work experience in the transportation industry or in supply chain management
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business or related field) or additional 4+ years relevant experience
  • Significant experience with supply chain software (e2open’s portfolio suite or JDA, SAP, Oracle, Mercury Gate, Pinc, etc.)
  • Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer facing and/or supplier management experience is highly preferred
  • Great interpersonal skills with ability to influence others without role power
  • Proven problem-solving ability; comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting trends and recommendations
  • Road Only
    • Ability to read and interpret industry documentation
    • Experience with TL, LTL and/or IM transportation management
  • Rail Only
    • Ability to read and interpret railroad document and communication
    • Experience with rail and boxcar transportation management

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
    • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
    • Placing and receiving phone calls
    • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
    • May require 5% travel or more if needed
