Staff Software Engineer - Hyderabad

Position Summary
It’s our job to expand, improve and maintain the transportation management product at e2open. Product management drives the roadmap which contains a mix of strategic, compliance, technical and customer driven features. We provide technical answers to the functional requirements in an Agile development process. The staff software engineer develops well-designed, testable software solutions and maintains and improves the existing codebase. Besides that, the senior software engineer mentor’s software engineers.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Leads technical direction across projects, designs system architecture, mentors junior engineers, and may contribute to cross-team initiatives without directly managing people.
- Take on more complex development tasks, reviews code, and contributes to technical design decisions.
- Perform coding, implementing features, and following established guidelines.
- Creates and maintains unit tests.
- Conduct Unit test with Junit and make sure that code quality has been taken care of.
- Provides technical knowledge transfer documentation.
- Works collaboratively within a team of other engineers.
- Can work independently and guide other resources, if required.
- Performs code reviews
- Mentors’ software engineers.
Experience
- 7+ years of Java technology full stack
Skillset required (Mandatory)
- Good programming and debugging skills.
- Good experience in Java Full stack. Refer to the key areas.
- Core Java - Oops, Exceptional Handling, and collection, v8 and v11
- Spring and JPA
- Oracle database - SQL
- Servlets and JSP
- HTML, Java Script, CSS
- Good to have - EJB, React, Angular, Type Script, and Vaadin
- Rest API
- Quartz scheduler
- Application Server
- Knowledge in security and performance engineering
- Experience of integrations like web services (REST/SOAP)
- Knowledge of repository tools such as BitBucket or GitHub
- Experience in code reviews and mentoring
- Good communication skills
Desired skills
- Experience in domain of Supply chain execution
- Knowledge of Oracle database and PL/SQL
- Knowledge of security and performance engineering
- Knowledge of Apache web server
- Good understanding of agile product development methodology
- Basic Linux experience
