JOB TITLE: Associate Data Management Analyst

REPORTS TO: Manager/Associate Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: No

POSITION OVERVIEW: An Associate Analyst for Data Management is an entry level role responsible data loading and extraction of data from database as per the requirement. Follow the Global Knowledge update process to make sure that the trade content data is loaded to the system maintaining data integrity and within SLA. Follow the process established for Global Knowledge update process under ISO.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Analyze data related to Global Trade received in different formats such as text, excel, XML etc., and apply required business rules and load data in database as per required format using Oracle technologies (SQL/PLSQL).
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in GCQA database and to maintain data integrity by performing data manipulation, loading and extraction activities in a timely manner.
  • Perform pre data conversion and post data conversion review.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that drive proactive data clean up.
  • Aware of ISO standards is an added advantage.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience 0-2 years
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency in SQL and PLSQL.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience using Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel).
  • Experience of data manipulation and cleansing.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience preferred in monitoring and/or escalating data quality issues until resolution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to focus on details to ensure and maintain data accuracy.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
    • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday.
    • Placing and receiving phone calls
    • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
    • May require X% travel or more if needed
