About the role

You will join Duco's Professional Services team at a pivotal moment. As we expand both our business in Canada and our AI-powered platform into truly agentic capabilities, we are looking for someone who wants to be at the centre of that shift. Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, Americas, you will work closely with Project Managers and clients across America's financial services sector, translating real business requirements into working solutions, and guiding the iterative training of Duco's AI-powered data platform until it delivers real, measurable value.

This is not a configure-and-walk-away role. You will be hands-on with the models themselves, teaching Duco's AI to understand each client's data, spot exceptions, and get sharper with every cycle. As Duco moves deeper into agentic AI, that means more autonomous decision-making, less manual configuration, and more focus on outcomes. You will be one of the people defining what that looks like in practice.

You will bring a consultative mindset to every engagement: comfortable discussing data models with engineers one day and walking a client's leadership team through the roadmap the next.

What you will be working on

• Conducting discovery exercises with clients to understand their data, processes, and business requirements
• Hands-on configuration of the Duco platform, including defining extraction logic, business rules, and output mappings
• Training and validating Duco's AI and ML models, continuously improving accuracy and coverage, and helping push the platform toward more autonomous, agentic operation
• Collaborating with client-side engineers and Duco's own engineering team on custom integrations and bespoke configuration
• Supporting Project Managers with technical input on planning, scoping, and change management throughout the project lifecycle
• Acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for Duco, feeding client insight directly into the AI product roadmap

So… what do you think?

This is what you'll need to be successful

• 5 to 8 years' experience in financial services, reconciliations, data automation, or technical implementations
• A proven ability to run requirements workshops and turn unstructured client needs into clear technical specifications
• Experience managing client relationships, running workshops and demos, and communicating with both technical and business stakeholders
• A strong understanding of data structures, data models, and transformation concepts, so you can reason about what a system can and cannot consume or produce
• Hands-on experience configuring or implementing SaaS platforms, ideally in a Professional Services or consultancy setting
• Experience with AI or ML-driven solutions, including model training, validation cycles, and iterative improvement, ideally extending into agentic or autonomous systems
• A solid grasp of software systems, APIs, and integrations; you can read a script and hold a meaningful technical conversation
• Strong data literacy: comfortable with schemas, data flows, and refining data models against platform constraints
• A consultative approach with clients: you ask sharp questions, challenge assumptions, and guide clients to practical solutions
• The ability to juggle multiple engagements, prioritise, and escalate blockers early
• A team-first mindset: you will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Client Success Managers, Account Managers, and Sales to deliver outcomes

Nice to have

• Scripting ability in Python or another language, so you can prototype small data transformations or validate logic independently
• Familiarity with the financial services industry, particularly capital markets back and middle office operations, reconciliation, or document-heavy processes
• Hands-on experience with legacy reconciliation or data tools: Reconciliation (SmartStream/TLM, Gresham/Clareti, Broadridge/PROactive, FIS) or Data Automation (Xceptor, Alteryx, BlackLine)
• Proficiency in data manipulation (SQL, Python, or advanced Excel) and an understanding of API-led architectures; experience with financial data standards (FpML, SWIFT MT/MX - ISO 15022 and ISO 20022, FIX, FIXML) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense/QlikView)
