Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an Assistant Director (Development Office) to support the Head of SAF AI Centre in leading the operationalisation of AI Centre for the SAF, where you will serve as Head Development Office and drive the implementation of this strategic initiative. In this leadership role, you will build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to establish AI processes and collaborations that advance the centre's goals.
What You Will Do
- Support the operationalisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) by working closely with Hd SAIC to develop and establish scope of the operations, areas of focus and supporting structures
- Design training and development programmes to enhance AI capabilities and knowledge across the organisation.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to establish AI processes and foster strategic collaborations.
- Lead the implementation of AI solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and support SAF's mission-critical objectives
What You Will Bring
- Education in quantitative, scientific and technology disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics
- Minimum 6 years of relevant digital working experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks and deep learning, with hands-on experience using current AI tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Ability to multi-task and work under stressful environments, with strong leadership traits, good planning abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Experience tackling technically challenging problems in data science and AI applications, with
- Experience in shaping AI solutions that enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and bolster operational readiness.
- Desire and interest to stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and Machine Learning technology to drive and develop AI expertise within the SAF
