Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an AI Senior Developer to tackle technically challenging problems in data science and AI applications. In this role, you have the unique opportunity to shape AI solutions that directly impact Singapore's national defence. You develop and deploy Data Science & AII solutions that enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and bolster SAF's operational readiness.

What You Will Do

• Lead a team of Junior Artificial Intelligence (AI) developers to develop AI products for the Singapore Armed Forces
• Assist and support the respective entities on AI related projects when required
• Define project outcomes with Services and project teams by understanding projects in depth, establishing clear timelines, and overseeing data preparation processes
• Translate project outcomes into specific tasks and monitor the performance of operational products
• Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to foster AI collaboration and advance the Digital and Intelligence Service’s (DIS) goals
• Stay acquainted with the latest AI/ML technologies and understand their application and impact to ensure beneficial deployment for the SAF
• Ensure high morale and professional development of personnel through effective staffing, training and provide technical guidance

What You Will Bring

• Education in quantitative, scientific and technology disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics preferred
• At least 6 years of relevant working experience in AI/ML development
• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks and deep learning
• Hands-on experience working with current AI tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• In-depth understanding of languages like Python, along with experience in data structures and algorithms
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under stressful environments
• Strong leadership traits with proven experience in managing technical teams
• Good planning abilities and excellent communication skills
• Experience in fostering collaboration with internal and external partners
