You work closely with various Services Department in the development of the SAF’s data architecture and standards strategy. You ensure the integrity, security and effective management of organisational data. You also work with the different services to enforce data policies, drive governance initiatives and promote a culture of data stewardship across the organisation.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a data-driven individuals to lead the development and governance of our Service Operations Data Strategy. This role requires expertise in data management, policy compliance, and collaboration to enhance data quality, accessibility, and literacy across teams.

What You will Bring

• 6 years of experience in related field
• Education in data science, computer science or related field
• Meticulous, good at stakeholder management with excellent communication skills.
• Experienced in data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
• Proficient in developing and implementing data strategies and workflows.
• Skilled in data cataloguing, metadata management, and quality assurance.
• Strong project management abilities.

What You will Do

• Data Collection: Designing and managing processes to gather data from various sources across the SAF. Conduct comprehensive stocktakes and cataloguing of data to identify priorities, establish standards, formats, and metadata requirements.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Maintain overall oversight of data policy, governance, and service-level agreements to enforce compliance.
• Data Quality: Ensuring the data gathered is accurate, complete, and consistent by running checks and cleaning data.
• Data Security: Protecting sensitive data from unauthorised access or breaches.
• Data Access: Support projects involving data requirements and serve as point-of-contact to liaise with departments/units for data requests.
• Training: Collaborate with relevant departments/units to build staff literacy, competency, capabilities in data management and data-related processes.
• Leadership: Lead and coordinate the workplans across Services Departments and relevant stakeholders while establishing cross-service data qualit
