Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an Engineering Lead to tackle technically complex challenges in an environment that mirrors a modern tech startup. In this role, you will define the technical direction of your team, develop our engineers through 1:1s, code reviews etc, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions for the SAF.

What You will Bring

• Proven experience working on large-scale, high-availability software systems.
• Strong expertise in modern full-stack web application development, including front-end engineering.
• Ability to act as a technical leader, representing the team in discussions with stakeholders.
• Passion for engineering excellence and a deep understanding that software development is a team effort.
• Interest in building technology for the public good.
• At least 2 years of experience mentoring and coaching developers, helping them grow and enhance their performance.
• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Science, Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence.

What You will Do

• Define your team’s engineering vision, strategy, and direction in alignment with DOTC’s mission.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand problem areas and roadmap impactful solutions.
• Work closely with engineers to provide regular performance feedback, mentorship, and career development guidance.
• Establish best pracices and tools to cultivate a strong engineering culture and maximise team effectiveness.
• Participate in hiring processes, building and nurturing a team of junior and senior engineers.
