Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking an Senior Software Engineer to work on technically challenging problems in a “tech startup-y" environment that is similar to that of a modern tech company solving impactful problems for our Armed Forces. 

More on what we are looking for:

• Have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Science, Data Analytics, and/or Artificial Intelligence with at least 5 years of working experience in developing software 
• Experience working on reasonably large, high availability software systems that have operated at scale
• Experience in modern full stack web application technologies, experience in modern front-end engineering
• Passionate about engineering excellence; you have a deep understanding that software engineering is a team sport.
• An interest in building for public good

What you will do:

• Build relationships with our stakeholders and agencies and manage roadmaps for new and existing products
• Interview new hires and build your team of junior engineers
• Collaborate with users across all four services of the SAF to understand their unique needs and challenges, and develop bespoke software solutions that address them
• Work effectively in a team that designs, develops, tests, and maintains useful software applications across the stack
• Support your peers, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment where everyone can grow and make a difference
