Company Overview: Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a Crypto Financial Analyst to join on a full-time basis (preferred) or as an intern for a limited period. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies.

Job Summary: Dialectic acts as an advisor to multiple liquid crypto funds specializing in DeFi yield strategies, as well as two venture funds focused on the crypto space. This role presents a unique opportunity for a talented crypto-native individual to work across and contribute to all of Dialectic’s key strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Portfolio Managers and the Finance team on tracking, pricing and accounting of investments across all funds, to ensure that accurate monthly NAVs are issued to investors on a timely basis.
• Support the Portfolio Managers of the DeFi yielding funds on assisting in portfolio construction, due-diligence and scouting for new investment opportunities.
• Support the Portfolio Manager of the venture funds by monitoring existing positions, conducting regular updates with portfolio companies, providing input in the investment due-diligence process, scouting new potential investments and supporting harvesting of positions where appropriate.
• Develop crypto market analyses including data visualizations based in order to drive relevant decision making. 

This position is perfect for a recent graduate in finance or accounting with some relevant experience in crypto/blockchain and DeFi investing.

Key Requirements:

• Crypto-native level of industry knowledge and experience using DeFi protocols, block explorers, wallets and other relevant tooling.
• Some knowledge of fund accounting practices and the ability to apply such practices to token investments and DeFi positions.
• Google Sheets super-user with a technical track record of clear and reproducible documentation in all areas.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking.
• Ability to work in an autonomously, methodical and detail-oriented manner. High level of precision required.
• Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty and forthright communication. We are a team of open minded intellectuals that utilize a dialectical approach to arrive at what is true.
• Ability to perform financial analysis, pull data from different sources and blockchains and produce reports in an independent manner.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in an accounting or investment role at an investment firm (crypto-focused investments preferred).
• Educational background or equivalent work experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills. 
• Data-science, coding (e.g. Python), cryptography or a technical background is considered an asset.
