Marketing, Communications & Community Lead

George Town, Cayman Islands | Zug, Switzerland | OR Remote

Company Overview:
Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a full-time Marketing, Communications & Community Lead. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies.

Makina, a project incubated by Dialectic, introduces a novel framework for on-chain asset management that addresses a significant gap in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. While DeFi has successfully replicated many traditional financial primitives, asset management remains underdeveloped, and sophisticated yielding strategies are not broadly available to users across the space. Based in part on Dalectic’s proven in-house yielding products, Makina provides a highly adaptable and secure architecture designed to facilitate a broad spectrum of strategies.

Job Summary:
As the Marketing, Communications & Community Lead, you will focus on managing Dialectic and Makina’s marketing, communication, social media, and community strategy to serve two key external stakeholder groups:

  • Makina’s community of users and stakeholders.
  • The general crypto-native community of individuals, companies, and protocols that might be interested in various investment or partnership opportunities available through Dialectic.

It’s important to note that this role has a dual focus; the primary focus will be on developing and implementing the marketing, communications, community, and social media strategy for Makina, and the secondary focus will be on doing the same for Dialectic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define & refine brand voice, market positioning, and strategic messaging.
  • Define & execute a robust communications strategy that includes various channels such as social media and long-form content.
  • Work with the broader Makina and Dialectic team to manage and develop external-facing content, including the websites and other materials.
  • Regularly publish a range of social media posts across Dialectic Makina and 1OF1.
  • Work with the Makina and Dialectic team to develop and enhance the current events strategy.
  • Work with external design partners to manage and refine brand assets, including various logos and related design content.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven ability to manage crypto-native marketing, communications, events, and community strategies.
  • Crypto-native level industry knowledge.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking.
  • Social media capabilities including cutting, editing, and posting content across platforms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to be responsible for achieving the desired results while also contributing to the success of projects shared by the wider team.
  • Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty, and forthright communication. We are a team of open-minded intellectuals who utilize a dialectical approach to arrive at what is true.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role for a crypto-native company.
  • Experience in an events-related role for a crypto-native company.
  • Some understanding of core asset management concepts.

Benefits:

  • Dynamic and collegiality in a small team working in fields that are shaping the future of our society.
  • As a modern employer, we offer you contemporary working conditions, ample space to develop yourself alongside the company, and exciting and challenging projects.
  • Competitive compensation, bonuses, and participation opportunities.
  • Exposure to extremely talented people and very interesting clients who have unique investment profiles.
  • Supportive work and team atmosphere with flat hierarchies and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Dialectic is an equal opportunity employer with a highly diverse workforce.
