About the role

We are looking for a Lead Consultant – Data Functional (Healthcare) to join our growing Data & AI team. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in Cerner and Dynamics 365, with a proven track record in healthcare data management, integration, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. This is a client-facing role where you will lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and translating complex business needs into scalable, efficient data architectures. You will work closely with both internal teams and external healthcare clients across the data lifecycle— from requirement gathering and ETL design to insights generation and reporting.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into functional data design documents.

• Lead data integration efforts across Cerner, Dynamics 365, and other healthcare platforms like Epic.

• Perform and lead functional data activities, including source-to-target mapping, master data management, data validation, and documentation.
• Design and validate scalable data architectures in collaboration with engineering teams using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.

• Conduct data analysis and generate insights for healthcare-specific use cases such as clinical operations, patient engagement, and safety.

• Develop functional assets such as data dictionaries, mapping sheets, validation checklists, and test cases.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare data compliance standards like HIPAA.
• Build dashboards and reports using Cerner, Dynamics 365, and other sources. Exposure to Power BI or Microsoft Fabric is an added advantage.

• Work closely with clients to identify gaps, propose solutions, and ensure successful implementation of data initiatives.
• Create artifacts and collaterals for healthcare proposals, and play a key role in establishing a
• Healthcare Center of Excellence (CoE) from the ground up.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including RFIs/RFPs, solution design, and client presentations.

Job requirements

• Domain expertise across Clinical Operations, Patient Safety, and Patient Experience.
• Extensive functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Cerner, Dynamics 365, and exposure to Epic.
• Proven experience in ETL design, data mapping, validation, and master data management.
• Proficiency with Azure Data Services: ADF, Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards, workflows, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in building functional documentation and reusable artifacts.
• Strong client engagement skills: ability to translate requirements into data design and ensure end-to end delivery.
• Experience contributing to business proposals and setting up data/healthcare-focused CoEs.
• Good to have: Working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or other Microsoft data tools.
