About the role
We are looking for a Lead Consultant – Data Functional (Healthcare) to join our growing Data & AI team. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in Cerner and Dynamics 365, with a proven track record in healthcare data management, integration, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. This is a client-facing role where you will lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and translating complex business needs into scalable, efficient data architectures. You will work closely with both internal teams and external healthcare clients across the data lifecycle— from requirement gathering and ETL design to insights generation and reporting.
Job responsibilities

Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into functional data design documents.

Data Integration Leadership: Lead data integration efforts across Cerner, Dynamics 365, and other healthcare platforms like Epic.

Functional Data Activities: Perform and lead tasks such as source-to-target mapping, master data management, data validation, and documentation.

Data Architecture Design: Design and validate scalable data architectures in collaboration with engineering teams using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.

Healthcare Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis and generate insights for healthcare-specific use cases including clinical operations, patient engagement, and safety.

Documentation: Develop functional assets such as data dictionaries, mapping sheets, validation checklists, and test cases.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare data compliance standards like HIPAA.

Reporting & Dashboards: Build dashboards and reports using Cerner, Dynamics 365, and other sources; exposure to Power BI or Microsoft Fabric is an added advantage.

Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to identify gaps, propose solutions, and ensure successful implementation of data initiatives.

Center of Excellence: Create artifacts and collaterals for healthcare proposals and contribute to establishing a Healthcare Center of Excellence (CoE) from the ground up.

Pre-Sales Support: Contribute to pre-sales activities including RFIs/RFPs, solution design, and client presentations.
Job requirements

Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge across Clinical Operations, Patient Safety, and Patient Experience.

Healthcare Platform Experience: Extensive functional experience with Cerner and Dynamics 365, with exposure to Epic.

ETL & Data Management: Proven expertise in ETL design, data mapping, validation, and master data management.

Azure Data Proficiency: Skilled in Azure Data Services including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and SQL Server.

Healthcare Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with healthcare standards, workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Documentation & Reusability: Demonstrated ability to create functional documentation and develop reusable artifacts.

Client Engagement: Strong skills in engaging with clients, translating requirements into data designs, and driving end-to-end delivery.

Proposal & CoE Contribution: Experience contributing to business proposals and establishing data/healthcare-focused Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

Nice to Have: Working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or other Microsoft data tools.
